Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook Logo

I have a dell inspiron 6000 windows xp. and for years that i've had this laptop, there has never been any problems with it. lately, however, my audio seems to be glitchy/twitching/scratching every half a second. it's not loud, but it disrupts the flow of the music or video i'm watching. others have suggested using my earphones or speakers or headphones but that didn't fix the problem. others have said it may be the speakers or audio card itself. being too lazy, i went ahead and just watched my movies as normal. then i noticed something, each time the audio glitched, so did the video. or should i say, each time the video glitched, so did the audio. my question is, if i reinstalled the video driver from dell.com, why is it still glitching? when i move the mouse back and forth, each time the audio glitches, so does the mouse, exact timing. each time i scroll a webpage up and down, it it stutters just like the video and audio. every half second glitch affect the whole laptop.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 that is not quite 4 years old. When I turn it on the scree shows the dell insignia, then the windows screen and then goes black. I don't know if the system is booting up or what...

Sounds like a definite no boot issue. Turn the system on to the diagnostics (Fn + Power) see if the diagnostics show a failure. If the hard drive passes diagnostics, then boot to the XP CD and try repairing the WIndows installtion

Blue screen on Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop

OUCH... Might need a new harddrive or motherboard. Does it even let you go into the bios? Maybe you can do a full reinstall to save you the dough.

Problems with Dell Inspiron 6000 Battery ? DELL Inspiron 6000 laptop battery is popular, why ?

You can also pick up the batteries less expensive than most computer places at batteries plus. And yes it sounds as though it is the batteries charge is getting low, especially if it runs fine when the battery is out and you have it plugged in.
