I have an eclipse AVN 5500 with a check map disc display after my battery died. What can be done?

I don't see anywhere in the manual where it describes how to get a disc or map updates. But you may have more luck at these websites by contacting support. The last link seems a company from which the map databases were acquired.

When the eclipse was installed the owner registered a disk for security reasons..... when power is disconnected the only way to resolve it is put the registered disk in!

I have a eclipse avn62d and when I tried to plug my iPhone in it went to the "check maps" "open/close display" "eject disc" screen and is stuck on that...what can I do to get anything at all to play again, driving in silence is terrible.

bro sorry its late...lmao its sept of 2010 but you need the security cd from the person who imput the so called "security key"...which is only a cd it memorized as the key. youre skrewed without it ****!

the avn 500 does not have a sub output. they have to create one at the shop-

I was told by Eclipse you have to buy a update dvd.

for avn 5435 on the left:press menu and cont ant the same time, while holding them down press menu on the right 5 times

a menu will appear and ask you for a code. you have to call 800-233-2216 and pay $25 for the code. you will have to explain where you bought your eclipse and or know the name of the original owner. if it doesnt match they will not give it to you
