Question about STA-J5C09 500 Amp Jump Starter w/ 120V AC Charger, 120 PSI Compressor, 270 Degree Pivoting LED Emergency Light, 1000 Peak Battery Amps & Heavy Duty Metal Clamps
Stanley 500 won't hold a charge. Can I use it by keeping it plugged in? Trying to charge golf cart batteries
I downloaded a manual for my Bostitch (stanley) framing nailer yesterday from their webpage. You should be able to find one somewhere on stanleys home page.

THE BATTERIES ARE RUN IN SERIES THAT MEANS THAT THE WIRES GO POS. TO NEG. NEG. TO POS. STARTING IN THE BACK AND THEY RUN LIKE THIS TILL YOU GET TO THE OUTPUT FROM BATTERIES TO MOTORS THE CURRENT GOES IN ONE SIDE OF BATTERY AND OUT THE OTHER BY CONECTING ALL POSITIVES YOU MAY HAVE JUST KILLED THE BATTERIES

To charge... you need to remove the seat. Only 2 screws holding it in place. Underneath you will see the battery...you will notice wires from the battery connect to wires from the motor on the wheels...pull apart those 2 connectors and attach the charger...then plug it in to a wall socket and leave connected for a long period of time. I don't remember how long it takes for a full charge...but I'm thinking at least 12 hours. If the battery doesn't hold a charge you can typically get it at walmart or online. Best of luck.
