You need to check at the indoor unit to see how the condenser wire is wired in. Remember. just because a wire is red does not mean it goes to R. Your three connections will go to R, C & Y but no one could tell you what color goes where without looking at your inside unit.

SOURCE: Avanti EWC-12 circuit board replacement (correction)

the green an yellow wire is a ground. Look for an area on the board with a ground symbol earth.gif. Can you not match the location from the old board???
Either way the black and red are your positive and negative power, while the third is the ground. The wire probably are located in close proximity to each other.
Let me know if this helps

1 = Purple
2 = White
3 = Blue
4 = Red
5 = Black
6 = Brown

Switching 3 prong cord to a 4 prong cord

if theres a wire from the center terminal on the dryer terminal board going to the dryer case disconnect it,then Red & Black on the cord go to the outer 2 terminals on the dryer terminal board,the White goes to the terminal in the center between where you put the Red & Black wires this is the Neutral wire,then the Green wire connects to any metallic portion on the dryer case as this is the SAFETY Ground wire and also Red & Black can go on either outer terminal on the dryer terminal board as these are not polarity sensitive because its A.C. power so wire it on the dryer terminal board as in (RED-WHITE-BLACK) on the dryer terminal strip and connect the GREEN to any Metallic portion of the dryer case

New switch GE model 15265 ... to light up 2 lightbulbs outside. Old switch all cables are black. Those who light up the tester are the hot=Red/black?? Those which do not light up are white?? Green I know...

Manual for GE 15265
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/GE-15265-manual.pdf
15A timer works fine on two bulbs, up to 1440 total watts.

If old switch has 2 screws plus green ground screw, then timer is right.
If old switch has 3 screws plus green ground screw, 15265 doesn't replace 3-way switch.

Timer-green wire connects to bare ground wire

Old switch has 2 screws with wires on each.
One wire is Hot-from breaker and this connects to timer-black wire.
One wire Goes-to-lights and this connects to timer-red wire.
If you get these two wires reversed, timer will not work, so reverse them.
It will not blow circuit if the timer-red and timer-black wires are reversed.

Timer-White wire is the confusing wire for everybody:
Timer-white wire runs clock motor located inside timer.
In back of electric box are neutral white wires that are twisted together and covered with wire nut.
Connect timer-white to these neutral wires.
If box does not have neutral white wires, connect timer-white to bare ground wire.

R-Red is power
Y-Yellow is cool
B-Blue is cool as well
G-Green is fan leg
W-White is usually heat Leg

If you have no indoor unit and this is a ac/gas or
electric outdoor unit try this.

R to R/Red to Red
G-G/Green to Green
Y-Y/Yellow to Yellow
W-W/White to White
-Dont Hook up Blue.

Turn power back on turn the fan to on,fan should run
Turn to Heating, heating should come on
Turn on Cooling,if cooling does not come on switch yellow with blue.

561CJ060-a bryant air conditioner two control wires disconnected

Sorry if I am answering this 2x. If it is just A/C then the red and white probably go to the coil for the contactor that cuts on the fan and compressor. If it is a heat pump then they probably go to a circuit board. Red to R terminal and White to W1 terminal. Let me know what you find.

Replaced Bryant T-stat model TSTATBBNB001 with Honeywell t-stat

Your original wiring configuration seems to indicate that you have an air conditioner (not heat pump) and either a gas or electric furnace. If this is the case you may need a different thermostat for your application.
