Several things to check. First go in the menu where u are doing the channel scan and see if there is a separate line that says digital and if so select it so it can add those channels. Next look also on the remote and see if there is a button that says ANT or Input and press it to see if selects the digital side. Next see how u are hooking up the set from either cable, SAT, Antenna, etc, and are u going thru the antenna connection/the screw on cable input. Cause if going thru hdmi or any other input will not allow u to scan channels. Next the tv may not have a digital tuner in which some new sets don't, look in owners manual and read on channel programming and it should tell u. Maybe something here will help.

Why would I be seeing pixelation on my screen occasionally when the scene changes in a program . it,so like part of the previous scene is dragging into the net one. what do i look for?

smart TV? no TV stated. model. at all just 40inch my guess yes. so are the smart screens pixelated? yes/no this is first. if TV channels, you never said what you are watching. lots of HDMI Inputs, possible TV channels HDTV and antenna pointed wrong. or only on netfix it does this, not clues by you on what you are doing, smart tvs are complex. it has computer inside, to do all that. and a ton of streaming APPS. endless ,mine even can cruise the www .

Insignia 55e560a11 connect to Polk sound bar. Using stereo audio cables in out video plugs on side of tv to insignia hdmi to rca converter to hdmi outlet on sound gar. no sound

Depending on the age of the TV, I have found that the RCA sockets on TV's will NOT produce an audio out signal. Since they were not designed to do so.
If the TV has an HDMI then that can be converted to produce the left and right channels. But if it has not got an HDMI, it should have and SCART socket, which will also produce the left and right channels.

I set up teac HDB840 to tv- via coxial cable from wall to set top box, then rca cables output of set top box , then to input to tv.-tried av button on tv showing av1 av2 and av3 but still no picture only...

Hi, Your set top box (PVR) is running on channel 3 or 4. Go to menu and sellect a source TV, DVD
Note: Do not connect more than 1 set of cables to tv or you may damage something.
TV > box connect RCA cable or HDMI not both.
Set top box > connect RCA or HDMI Not both.
audio devices > TV connect RCA or HDMI not both.

My itv channels keep breaking up or freezing since the switchover

I'm guessing the signal from the antenna is too weak. With digital, it will not get fuzzy as with analog, but rather will pixelate, go blank, or freeze. You need to figure out how to get more signal to the TV by moving or re-aiming the antenna, improving the connections (clean or repair), or amplifying the signal.
