Just bought a sylvania dvd player regular just plays dvd' s it starts to play the movie about a minute or so then screen gose black or will stay stuck on a certain part every button I press weather on the remote or dvd player it self says invalid key but after about 5 mins of not touching it it will play until the next shows on the disc comes on then the problem all over again

it could be the disc that is causing the problem try some other disc and see what it does.good luck.

SOURCE: stuck in 'set 1'

Had this same problem and found the solution elsewhere on the net. Hold down the "1" button and the "Enter" button for aprox 10 seconds while pointing at the player. This "resets" the remote. I was skeptical when I first read this solution but it worked for me!

SOURCE: DVD player reloads after 5 minutes into the movie

I have a K715 that was having the same problem. The "line select" had been switched from "in" instead of "out". Once I switched it back to "out", the player worked normal.

SOURCE: dvd "unknown disc" message coming up

When Your DVD shows "LOADING" for quite some time and then if shows "UNKNOWN DISC" or "NO DISC", Open the cover of your DVD Player, Remove the flap over the disc by opening the screws. Remember that you are not keeping your eyes perpendicular to the lens. Now take Colin liquid in an ear buds and rub over the lens. Now with dry end of the bud, rinse it and make it dry. Keep the disc in the space provided for. Put on the Flap over the disc. And try to run it. I hope this would work fine.
