Clipper won't cut cleanly or easily. Lack of oil and dirty. Sometimes a hair gets caught between the blades. Lubricate and clean your Clippers regularly.

Oiling blades and sharpen them will help to fix the issue. However several reasons can cause this issues such as the low power, broken blades etc.

With most clippers, after an amount of use they need to be cleaned then oiled. Most sets come with some amount of oil for your clippers. Otherwise you can purchase it separately. This should fix the problem.

Hi, How long have you been using the clippers? In my experience they can get clogged with hair quite quickly depending on the animal. I'd recommend removing the blade to better get at the hair stuck between the blades. Once the blade is off lubricate the appropriate parts following the guide in your operating manual. It's best to do this soon before the motor burns out. If you feel that the blades are too clogged, it's easy to buy a replacement blade for around 1/3 the price of a new clipper set.

sounds like the clipper blade needs sharpening!

check to make sure the blade is secure on the clipper first.

there is probably hair stuck between the cutters
remove the cutters from the clipper and you can push the top blade out from under the spring retainer making sure you keep the small plastic runner strip
clean the surfaces and using a flat bladed screw drive insert the blade under the spring and twist slightly to allow the top blade to slide back in
while it feels sharp , it is the sides of the cutter fingers that cut the hair ( like miniature guillotines) and those edges are easily worn off

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like the blades need to be sharpened, refer to the shavers brand name plus .com for blade replacement or replace the shaver.

How old is your clipper, Oster clippers need to be adjusted for more power and speed, also what clipper blade are you using to cut the horse hair and how long is the horse hair, Also the blade may not be sharp, some new blade are sharp maybe defective.

These kinds of clippers are fussy about oiling and dirt. It is essential that the blades be spotless and well oiled FREQUENTLY. Oil after every haircut always. Also, if there is not enough tension on the blades, the hair will slip between the blade and blade guard, getting caught and damaging the blades. Blades should be screwed on tight. Also, it may be time to replace the blade if nothing else helps. These blades do not last very long in my experience especially if not carefully cleaned and oiled.

OIL THE CLIPPERS AND CLEAN THE HAIR OUT REALLY GOOD.
