SONY WEGA KV27FS120 WON'T TURN ON, LED BLINKS A FEW TIMES
My set is only 2 yrs old, it worked fine, but one day just won't turn on, I don't feel any magnetic force on the screen, the led blinks a few times, but will not turn on, what's wrong?
I have a KV-24FS100 with the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.
When I turn the TV on the red led flashes and turns off the tv as if it was set on a 1 second timer. How do I reset the tv? The reset button doesn't seem to help, plugging and unplugging doesn't help either. When I turn the TV on the red led flashes and turns off the tv as if it was set on a 1 second timer. Look at the owner manual as the 10 blinks is a error code or Google the model number to locate that information--Sony error codes are general and often misleading.
I would if looking at the set inspect the lamp first.
Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
usually after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to tube ) becomes weak - then TV won't get ON.. means no picture no sound but LED blinks - in some TVs along with EHT 1 or 2 components like resistor, transistors, etc will also gets deffective - so solution is TV circuit board has to be checked to find whether only EHT is deffective or other components are also deffective - price of EHT will be between Rs.250 to Rs.600 - iam service engineer (computers, laptops, printers, etc) - bangalore - domlur - 09986222774 - [email protected] - if you are in bangalore then you can call me for service

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I sure hope it will. I had a similar problem with TWO of the three Sony 24" TVs I had bought together. TV#1 konked out a month ago; TV#2 messed up last week. So I called the Sony Service Center, and this very nice guy told me that a lot of times this problem occurs because the TV isn't plugged directly into the wall (most people plug theirs into a power strip/surge protector). When it happened to TV1, we hadn't been using TV2 so we just traded their locations and the "bad" one sat there waiting to be thrown out...and sat and sat and sat. Well, I was pretty hot when it happened again a month later to TV2. The service center guy told me to unplug TV2 and replug it in the wall after about 1 minute and turn it on. Nothing happened. Then he told me to plug in TV1 and turn it on. I did, reluctantly. And it actually worked!! I don't know if anyone having this problem has a week to be without their TV, but the guy said sometimes it takes up to a week of sitting to get it to work right again. So I'm waiting a few more days before I try to plug in TV2 to see if it works again, but for now, at least I've got one TV back. Here's hoping you all have the same experience. And then I guess we'll have to decide whether to plug back into a power strip (mine was actually plugged into my cable TV's DVR machine) or into the wall.
I have a SONY WEGA 3 years old KV-32XL90E and have the same problem the Stand By/Timer light

When I turn the TV on the red led flashes and turns off the tv as if it was set on a 1 second timer. How do I reset the tv? The reset button doesn't seem to help, plugging and unplugging doesn't help either.
