SOURCE: Replace Tail light assembly
Loosen ther interior plastic to gain access to the 2 hidden nuts. We use an articulated ratchet to get to the bolts, however. Not hard to do.

Open the hood, and using a 7mm socket remove the long headlamp jackscrew 2nd from left. Grasp the headlight assembly on the upper inboard and lower outboard corners and wiggle and pull very firmly outward to disengage the 3 ball stud alignment posts from their sockets (be cautious of the sharp edges of the grille and fender areas surrounding the headlamp).
There is a bulb that plugs into a socket dirctly behind the headlight. In order to access it you must lift the hood. Next, you will have to remove the plastic ring that holds the socket in the rear of the headlight housing.
Twist the ring CCW (if you are facing the front of the vehicle)until it becomes loose and pull the socket and bulb through the hole. Then using a small flat tipped screwdriver lift out the little tab that holds the lightbulb on the socket and pull the bulb straight out from the socket. {Note: Pay Close Attention to the direction the plastic ring came out from, it is a pain to get back on if you don't. It will only go on one way...to hold the socket in place}

The bulbs are held in with a wire clip, push down on the small loop
side of the clip. Whatever you do don't remove the small screw that
holds the clip. Remove the battery on the drivers side for easiest change.

Once you open the trunk you need to unscrew the 2 little black knobs that hold the cargo nets on. This will release the truck carpeting. Pull the carpeting back and you will see the gray metal around the backside of where the taillights are. There are two nut/bolt combination that you will need to unscrew (If these are not too tight and use a regular pair of pliers to grip them). Once these two nuts/bolts are removed push on the screws that they were attached to... This will push the entire tail light out of its place on the back side of the car and you can pull it out now to get to the lights. There are 3 lights that will come out if you turn the black fittings and then pull out.

You shouldn't have to remove any screws. Look behind the headlight assembly and you will see a socket that you push in, turn and it should come out so you can replace this little light bulb, not the whole assembly.
Good Luck
Hi,
There is an adjustment on the side of the black bobbin case.
Remove the needle plate, to gain access to the case. Lift it out, noting how it is positioned! On the side of it , there are two screws, one is the adjustment screw - its the one that sits out more. To increase tension, turn it clockwise 1/8th of a turn, reassemble and test sew. (make sure the top thread tension is back to where it should be). Repeat if required. DO NOT adjust too much at a time!
Good luck
