SOURCE: 1996 toyota tercel

there is no repair manual published for the 1996 tercel, not from chilton, not from haynes.

the 1994 tercel and the 1996 corolla are both covered in haynes manuals, that's the closest we can get. both have some of the same systems, gotta pick and choose.

there is an expensive professional repair manual, published by toyota, i think, that's what mechanics buy for shops. it costs hundreds, and is not easy to buy.

SOURCE: Toyota V6 fuel pressure amount

The fuel pressure regulator is on the driver side fuel rail, close to the back of the engine. You need to pull the intake plenum off to access the pressure regulator.

The normal operating fuel pressure is 38 to 44 PSI

1993 Toyota Tercel. Relay de apertura de circuito.

When you turn the key, the fuel pump pressurizes the system and then waits until the engine is running. 3 Seconds is about right.

The Fuel Pump Relay is shown in the link.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator on a 2000 Toyota Camry

A faulty fuel pressure regulator may result in engine misfires, reduction in power, poor acceleration, and a decrease in fuel efficiency. That said, the symptoms can also take place owing to other mechanical issues.

The Fuel Pressure Regulator is attached to the fuel pump and that whole assembly is located in the gas tank, beneath the rear seat. AFAIK there is only the one unit, not one for each bank. You can test to see if you have sufficient fuel pressure at the fuel filter.

Where is the fuel pump cut off located in a 1992 toyota tercel??

If the vehicle has an inertia fuel pump shut off, details of the location will be in the vehicle handbook.
Some early cars didn't have the inertia switch and the fuel pump relay relied on a connection to the oil pressure warning light or ignition light or similar so if the engine stopped so did the fuel pump.

Most inertia switches are fitted behind the passenger footwell plastic kick panel or visibly in the engine compartment. A few early examples were fitted in the spare wheel well.

Toyota tercel 1991...getting poor gas milage...eating it up fast. New plugs and wires....not sure of the fuel pressure...could this be the fuel regulator?

First thing to check... operating temp of engine.. does it take forever to warm up or a long time for warm air to come from the heater? If so you have a stuck open thermostat and this can cause the engine to never reach proper operating temp.. and it will consume extra fuel. Many don't notice at this time of year.. between warm afternoons and cool mornings.. spring..

I doubt you have a problem in fuel delivery.

Of course all other things should be checked.. tire pressure, and brake operation.. and any accessories on the engine such as alternators and ac compressors.. lastly do a coasting test to check alignment and braking.

Best of luck

I need to know the location of the fuel filter on a 1996 Toyota Tercel, so I can replace it.

First you need to release any back pressure by leaving the car off and open the throttle a couple of times. Not too much so you don't flood the engine. Its also a good idea to wear saftey glasses. The filter is located under your hood near the power steering res. Its shiney black and looks more like a air coditioning component. Due to the high pressure situation Toyota didn't take any chances, so you may have to put a lot of muscle into the bottom threaded intake port. Be sure you have good open ended box wrench to hold this with.I found it easier to remove the outlet side first.(top side), then remove the mounting bracket, find a tight fitting open end wrench to turn the filter @ the bottom rather than turning the fitting ( because of tight clearance). Be very careful to replace the brass seal ring/s back in there proper inlet/ outlet lines these are extremely critical for safety. You will find that installation is much easier then removal. This is a very high quality filter(and Expensive). After 300,000 miles I just flushed mine out W/ heptane followed by compressed air and still works like a charm.

What is the pressure of the fuel pump toyota tercel 93

The fuel pump produces 60 PSI.
The fuel pressure regulator changes the incoming pressure down to 30 PSI, which is the pressure that the injectors operate on.
