When my mitel model:4110 rings i cannot hear the other person
There's a mute key and two volume keys.. I would think the mute key would only be for muting the caller so you could converse locally in private, but maybe it mutes in both directions. Then again, you might just need to increase the volume.

You can switch to "night" mode on the console and the incoming calls should ring on the cordless. try it.

you can try to use a headset and see if it will work
normally if the caller cannot hear the receiver theres some problem with the mouthpiece. if the headset and loudspeaker works then you have to go to the store and have it fixed.

This is set on the buttons for the phone from within the system programming. Individual buttons can be set to NO Ring, Ring, Ring Continuous, Delay Ring, or Delay Ring Continuous.
Continuous meaning that even if you are on the phone, it will ring audibly on your phone. If it's not set to continuous, it will only give a blip.
You should contact your vendor for assistance in setting this up.
