I have a Stihl TS 700 concrete saw. It start an runs very good,but sometimes at highspeed it suddenly stops. Then I just can start it again without any problems and it runs good again. I have replaced airfilter,fuelfilter,sparkplug. Do someone have an idea what the problem can be.

If it is starting and not continuing to run it still sounds as though something is blocking the fuel flow. If the carb has been cleaned out, literally torn down and the needles cleaned so that no small debris is clogging them, check the fuel tank and lines for anything that could be restricting the flow to the engine. Remember that it's recommended that you replace the fuel line (cheap fix) when you dismantle the carb. Removing the line breaks off small pieces of the rubber in a worn line, which can re-block a freshly cleaned carb.

check to make sure your kill switch is not shorting and you have the right gap from the coil to the flywheel also if the flywheel sheer pin is damaged in the least this will cause a multitude of problems... it is the timing pin and must be in good shape not damaged or sheered ..any way reply to [email protected] and i will try to help you through this.... SOURCE: stihl bg 55 blower runs good for 5 min. then loses power

1) carburetor gaskets/diaphragms may need to be replaced

2) ignition coil may be breaking down when hot

3) check compression when cold, then after it stops, when hot

4) could have a vacuum/pressure leak

[email protected] HI GRYDERT your problem could be your on, off switch. This might sound funny, but switch the on off switch real fast several times, then see if you havee fire. If not check your spark plug. If you have a n
ew one try it. If that don't work check the connection at the plug to be sure it is makiong contact with the plug. If all this does't work you will have to go inside to the coil. They don't usually go ba d but it could. But first check to be sure it isn't grounded at the small wire from the switch. Good Luck.

If there is good fuel in the tank and the plug gets wet with fuel, and there is a good spark stating the obvious it should go, if not there could be a mechanical issue, piston scored, rings worn etc,
