I suggest not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Here's the link to the Lexmark website for the available Lexmark Z517 drivers. http://bit.ly/9IIoea. Choose the correct driver compatible with your computer's operating system. Download and install the software. Follow the instructions on the software. Hope this helps.
You not say what windows version you are using, got a XP driver for you.
You can download a driver Software from my website then you can use the driver to set your printer up.
Just click on this link and it will download for you, and it is best to save it on your desktop so you can find it easy.

The installation CD contains the printer driver
and various 'Get you started' software
none of which is essential to run the printer because alternatives abound.
The driver should exist in the library in your operating system- all other programs are to be had on the Internet for download or magazine cover discs.
