SOURCE: how do we empty the waste basket?

The "waste basket" is to indicate that the waste toner area in the drum cartridge is full. If the copy quality is still ok you may be able to empty the waste by removing the drum cartridge from the machine and removing the opaque piece from the left side and dumping it out. BE CAREFUL this can be very very messy. toner is a very fine powder and will get all over the place if caution is not used.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/charles_45d8d6c78cd9f0b6

My Ativa HD Pro 1600 has a broken plastic tab on the inside right of the wastebasket. Evidently, this is the safety switch. How can I get a replacement basket or work around the switch?

OSHA would never approve... turn dead upside down, look at tab wedge something small in the space then lightly tape it over (painter's tape). If it works, use better tape.

My Ativa HD Pro 1800 will not power on

First check the power point is still working - plug in another appliance, like a table lamp. If OK check the fuse in the shredder cable plug.

The commonest reason for a shredder stopping is a paper jam, or running the shredder for too long. By 'too long', many shredders will cut-out after 5 minutes continuous working, and the sensor may take 15 minutes to cool down! Read the manual.

It maybe that the shredder cutters are jammed. Unplug from mains, and lift off top and place upside down. Use a small screwdriver and/or long nosed pliers to poke at any compressed paper wrapped around the blades - can take a while.

It may be that the sensors are dirty - use a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the sensor light(s) and heads
Give a quick spray to cutters with WD40 Replace - turn on - and run in reverse.

Ativa shredder manual

I could not find a manual or support on Ativa website but I searched their FAQ. It said that the shredder basket must be fully closed and integrated with the shredder. I had the same problem. I pushed the basket firmly into place and it stopped. I believe this flashing scheme may be telling you that the shredder and basket aren't properly aligned.

Our Ativa HD PRO 1600 shredder will not operate because the "jam alert" light is on, however there is nothing in the feeder or the shredding mechanism. I have misplaced my manual and

I have an Ativa AT120DC. It won't operate

I have an Ativa AT120DC Shredder. When it is switched to auto there is dim green light and it doesn't start. If I feed paper in it makes no difference. For some time it always started up when you switched it to auto and didn't wait for paper to be fed through. If you remove the basket the Door Open light comes on. can you help?

Shredder won't turn on

On the right side of the waste basket(as you face it) is a tab that pushes a button on the shredder when it is in place. The tab is not making contact with the button. Push the side of the basket where the tab is when you have paper to shred in it. If it begins to shred, you may have to bend the basket inward so that the tab makes contact. I have had this problem.

ok " if the ready light did not come on it's telling you that there is no power sound like the plug in transformer is no good .

you can check that transformer , with a multimeter, see if you have the right voltage.
