My morphy richards power steam elite is not heating the iron. Lights are on the base unit but no lights on the actual iron

I have a morphy richards power steam elite. The power is getting to the main part and the water heats and the cord is hot going to the iron but the light is not coming on and the iron is not very warm despite being on the highest setting. After about 5 mins the iron cools to cold but the lights are all still on at the back of the base.

Try bottled spring water... many times tap water will not steam right...

My MORPHY RICHARDS 42256 JET STREAM STEAM GENERATOR IRON has stop producing steam. I have changed the filter and although it heats up, it does not produce any steam.

Why is there No steam from morphy Richards 42247 model steam generator?

It may be calcified or have lime scale. If the heater is "gummed up", it cannot heat properly. Try using either vinegar (takes longer) or an iron cleaner. You pour it in and it breaks up the scale. CLR works quite well too. Use pipe cleaners to clear out the holes in the sole plate.

Morphy richards iron lights up all fuctions working but does not get hot

1)If the iron doesn't heat, make sure power is on to the outlet, 2) check the electrical cord, and 3) check the thermostat (see the Appliance Controls Fix-It Guide) and replace if necessary

The iron will not steam and the standby button is constantly flashing

Always switch off the unit and allow to cool before cleaning or storing. .... If your steam generator does not work, check the following points: ... working temperature, the LOW STEAM ICON will flash whilst the heating cycle takes place ... steam. 9 When ironing is complete, press the POWER. STANDBY button.
