You need to adjust your clutch. Tighten up the play in the clutch cable.

Turn the key to the left as hard as you can, as you turn the keys see if that works.

I'm working on a Husqvarna z254 when you bring the steering arms in about half inch from the park position it kills the engine but you bring them all the way and fast it doesn't kill engine anyone have any...

Possible seat switch. Try rising out of seat and sitting down hard. If problem abates then replace seat switch.

On this model I believe you can disconnect the seat switch and it will start and run (there won't be an operator not in seat safety, so reconnect after testing). Disconnect seat switch and try moving levers and see it problem goes away.

Husqvarna zero turn mower steering problems how to adjust neutral and balance steering

There is adjustments on both steering arms located under the seat. You can make the adjustments by lifting the unit's wheels off the ground and determine if the are "creeping" when the unit is running. Adjust the linkage until neither wheel creeps. Then the tracking can be adjusted by turning the screws located at the base of the steering levers.
Note, the levers do not return to neutral automatically.
