Hi

You have to take out the card before you switch on the camera. Switch on the camera and then put in the card. Then it works

SOURCE: cannot select "camera menu" from the Top Menu

If the camera is in Auto mode those items cannot be selected because the camera is already using factory default settings and they cannot be changed, If you press the Ok button and change to P mode then you will be able to access all of those menu settings and make any changes you wish to the camera settings.

Yes it is possible with a lens adapter. Search for Kiwiphotos LA-67SP800 or LA-67SP800. Or look at: http://www.kiwifotos.com/Pro_show.asp?Proid=83
On Ebay they can be bought quite cheap. You can fit a filter onto the lens adapter.

If you have installed the [ib] software from the camera, this program seems to be very unstable and buggy. I would recommend to use the new Olympus Viewer 2 software instead. De-install the [ib] software and download and install the (free) Olympus Viewer 2 software. It supports the SP-800uz.

You need to put in your camera serialnumber to be able to download it.

All PC software is delivered on the cameras internal memory (setup.exe).

When you need software, you can also use the better and free
Olympus Viewer 2 program for PC and Mac.

Are you talking about the camera's LED screen, or your computer monitor screen?
Anyway, the Olympus SP-800uz camera has 4:3 image sizes and widescreen 16:9.
Just set your camera to the size you need to get your images shown fullscreen.
An alternative is to use a graphic (or tool) program that is able to crop your images.

Can I zoom when recording on the olympus sp 800
Zooming when recording video on the Olympus SP-800uz is only possible when the sound is set to off. Set the zoom to the setting you want before recording, after that start recording.
