It may have to be drilled if you don't want to spend the money for a locksmith. The cylinder has to turn to on to be removed on most models.

The ignition key contains a coded transponder chip which is read via an antenna around or close to the ignition/steering lock and the code in the key must match the code in the car's immobiliser memory in order to start the car.

As the key came from a different car it will need recoding. Sometimes the chip is moulded in plastic and sometimes it is possible to take the key apart - in that case you should be able to fit the chip (like a grain of rice) to your new key.

If you are lucky placing the original key close to the new key while trying to start might just make it work.

This set should use two of the STK-392-150 CHIPS for convergence, see attached photos.

If this is the case both chips need to be replaced and some adjustments made; if in your case blue will not move in some direction or you have a blue bow in the picture, one of the two chips mentioned is bad.

The Microsoft Office program that you have might just be a trial version. Usually, newly purchsed computers comes with a 60-day trial version. If that's the case, you need to contact microsoft to purchase the full version. But, if you ordered a full version of the program together with the computer then you need to contact whoever you bought the computer from and you already have the product key and you lost it call Microsoft and they can help you obtain the 25 digit product key for your MS-OFFICE application.

Try purchasing it. Its the way anyone who has a legitimate key, obtained it. If you already purchased it and registered your product with Microsoft, but lost your packaging with the key, you can try calling Microsoft and requesting a replacement, but they will likely deny the request without some proof of ownership. Keys here in the USA most likely come from Honda ... because most places (hardware store, discount store, locksmith) will not stock them ... Keys I am familiar with here don't have a electronic chip in them.

Easiest solution is replace the ignition switch, though most dealers should be able to cut you a key based on the VIN. If you replace the lock, make sure you get a couple spare keys made.

If you are really despirate ... the ignition switch is after all only a two position switch ... Off/on. Get a toggle switch and make it work (this is for people with advanced skills)

The product key should be located either on the booklet that came with your software on pasted inside the front cover of the dvd case. If you do not have these then you would need to contact Microsoft Support in order to obtain a new product key. Hope this helps.
