I have a URC-R5 remote control and need the code for a 2006 _ Model # 6424TFS Sylvania tv

I also own a Sylvania LD320SS8 HDTV. My solution to the
problem of remote codes that won't work is to junk the
Sylvania, and buy a reputable brand TV such as an LG
HDTV which will work nicely with DirecTV or Dish network
remotes.

The code is 1944 on a universal remote, but you will only be able to access basic functions, not the setup functions....you will need to find the original remote on ebay or something to get full access to the TV functions

To program a TV you can use the code search option. You do this by making sure the TV is turned on then point the remote at the TV then press the TV button once, then press and hold down the set button until you see the RED l.e.d light blink twice, then enter the code 991. Next press the power button then the TV button continue doing that until the TV turn off, when it does press the set button. Press the power button and the TV should turn on again.
