Don't have speech recognition tab in control panel-speech
I cant record my own voice in sound recorder.i can't hear my friends voice in voice chat.what is the problem.is there a problem in my headset?but i can hear songs and all from my computer,why not voice chat?in control panel i don't have speech recognition tab over there,can i know what is the problem?Please help

Go to control panel click on sounds audio dvices then tab on voice and click on test hardware then click on next now there are two options one is recorder and second is playback. Now click again on next when you click on next both volume should be enable then click on next and then finish. Now 100% guaranteed it will work and you can voice chat now. Cheers!

Click start control panel on the left select Hardware and Sound
then select manage audio devices then recording you should see a Microphone
right click select enable Windows 7

You will see earphones with a speaker among a list set up a
microphone headset with Microphone then

earphones with microphone being configured

untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list
Make sure you have the
right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a
tick in it or
select the voice tab

right media selected also

taskbar select either playback or recording devices you should see your
microphone listed under the recording tab right click on it select
properties at the bottom
