jpierre's solution (in another thread) was right on the money. Touch
the positive (+)end of the 9v battery to the positive (+) end of the
camera battery.Leave them touching for a few seconds (10 seconds should
be more thansufficient). Seems these lithium-ion batteries are subject
to a'digital memory.' Subjecting it to a volt surge almost three
timeshigher seems to clear it.

If there is a flashing red light it could mean the battery is faulty or loaded in the charger incorrectly. Remove the battery from the charger and wipe off with dry cloth for it could be dirty and then reload into charger. It worked for me also i made sure none of the prongs on the charger were bent where the battery fits in. Hope that helps : )

I had the same problem. I had a 1 year warranty, so I called 1800-435-7732 and they sent me a new battery within 5 days. I just received it today and it works perfectly. Hope this helps you! =]

If booster is fully charged and the vehicle battery is almost discharged it is inevitable some battery charging will take place but it is likely to be a slow and incomplete process and could shorten the life of the booster which isn't built for such work.
It is also worth noting the car alternator is also not built for charging the battery and is often incapable of doing so. The purpose of the car alternator is to keep a fully charged battery fully charged and a discharged battery can even cause damage to an alternator.
