Sounds to me like you have a worn drive block and possibly a bad spin tube. The drive block can be accessed by removing the agitator first. Next you will need to remove the spanner nut. Now you can remove the basket. Attached you will see the picture of the drive block, I hope if it downloads. The spin tube locks into this drive block with two tabs that fit in respective grooves in the block. If the tabs are worn off the spin tube, that will have to be replaced as well. Good luck,

SOURCE: Telmann washing machine TEL6TL

Telemann TEL6tl E2 Problem

E2 on screen means the lid is not closing properly and thus not activating the (hidden) switch that prevents the machine from spinning while the lid is up.

The lid switch in this model is not a direct contact switch between lid and switch , but it switches on and off due to a MAGNET embedded in the lid on the left hand side near the front. You will see a small indentation where the magnet SHOULD BE. My magnet had fallen off, so the lid could not activate the operation switch. I had lost the original magnet( about 1cm X 2cm) so glued another into place.

Machine is now fully operational again, and the job cost .78c.

If your magnet is still in place, the E2 fault could lay with the switch itself , which is fixed to the underside of the top casing of the machine near the front right hand side of the lid cavity. The switch measures 1cm X 3cm heavily black tape insulated. Access is gained by popping the 2 X2cm discs at front top of machine and releasing the 2 small philips screws here and a further 2 at the back top of machine. This operation of replacing the switch is best left to an electrician or washing machine specialist.

Hope that helps

SOURCE: spin cycle is off balance washing machine is

i dont believe it is the agitator per say. Assuming this problem has just started and doesnt have transportation bolts still attatched. Two conditions cause the imballance. 1)(if unit is a top loader) Check if all 4 shock absorber springs are well lubricated and not sticking. 2)A more involved problem which often happens, Underneath the washer, is the drive motor. on the motor, is a round pulley. this pulley needs to come off and strip further until you see a long spring. If it is not broken, clean it up using a solvent and a rag. reassemble and test. (if spring is defective, it will slip instead of grip on a spin cycle.

SOURCE: whirlpool washing machine 6alsr7244mw3 always out

A very common call I get on Whirlpool built direct drive washers, and one of very few problems they have, is that the machine vibrates like it's out of balance when spinning even without any clothes in the basket. Sometimes it'll walk across the floor if this is allowed to worsen. The cause is nearly always support pads. The entire mechanism rests on these three small plastic pads, and when they wear even a little bit, the machine will vibrate like crazy in spin, like its load is badly out of balance. Replacing these pads (part 285744, around 10 for the set will nearly always correct this problem. And they aren't hard to replace if you re just a little handy Here s how Unplug the washer. Remove the 2 Phillips screws that retain the console. On some machines, these are hidden under console end caps that must be pried off. On newer models they re on the back of the console Rotate the console fwd then up and back it will hang back out of the way if the washer s away from the wall far enough.Unplug the white lid switch plug and pry up the 2 large clips that hold the cabinet to the washer back panel.Tilt the entire cabinet forward and it ll unhook from the retainers on the base. Lift the cabinet off and set aside (not as heavy as it sounds With the cabinet off you ll see 3 large horizontal springs, one in each corner of the support 'tripod and one smaller, vertical one in the left-rear that counterbalances the motor's weight. Unhook all 4 of these springs and insert a small piece of 1 by (5 8 or 3 4 thick) board to prop the mechanism up, to access the pads one at a time. Insert the piece of wood between pad locations, on a side of the support triangle a helper's handy here Use a little lighter fluid to clean the mating surface of the support plate that these pads ride against before inserting each new one. Be careful not to scratch the support plate when working under it it needs to be smooth and contaminate-free. Knock the old pads out one at a time, by lightly tapping on their mounting pins from underneath with a hammer. Put each new pad in place in its mounting holes, carefully remove the wooden 'shim then stand up and push down ******* the tub on that corner. You ll hear and feel the pad snap into its mounting holes.Repeat this process for each of the other two pads mounted on the support tripod' (do the rear, 'fun' one last after you have experience replacing the other two and your washer will behave a whole lot better in the spin cycle. And if you have any trouble finding these support pads locally, let me know. I keep lots of them in stock. You can order a set here Oh, and remember to reach around and pat yourself on the back! You just saved yourself at least 100.00

Kenmore washer, model# 110.20022011. Will the tub ring cause the washer to be off balance?

probably not
the machine becomes unbalanced for several reason
with not clothes
the machine is not level
the tub suspension has failed and the tub is not level ( possible your tub ring statement)
if filled with clothes
uneven materials --heavy trousers on one side and light fabrics on the other
have a washer mechanic check out the fault for a proper diagnosis.

Fix balance ring

if you have a regular top load direct drive washer and if the tub is tilted off balance remove the frame of the washer, look at the back bottom of the frame, there's a spring that is connected to the bottom of the frame and hooks the the back of the tub, sometimes the frame rusts out and the spring rips through the drill hole in the frame, you have to drill a new hole in the frame and reconnect the spring.i've never seen a balance ring this is the first thing i would check if washer is off balance.

Spins out of balance even emty

This model of washer does not have an out of balance cut off switch. If the load is not balanced properly the tub could hit the cabinet sides. If the unit spins evenly while empty & out of balance while loaded, I recommend checking & balancing the load. If the basket spins out of balance while empty, I recommend having the suspension springs & balance ring checked. Be sure not to wash light fabric with heavy fabric clothes. Also ensure that the adjustable feet are level, that's most important.

Excessive drum vibration

Yes, look into trading in the Kenmore for one of only two manufacturers that employ a dynamic balance system built into the washer drum. Samsung and LG both use this dynamic balance system that balances the load while it is in motion. They also use a vibration sensing system to modify the time and speed of the spin cycles to minimize any vibration that might still be present. LG has this available on only their upper level models while Samsung's VRT is available on most all models. I believe that both of these manufacturer's are available from Sears.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the load is evenly distributed around the circumference of the tub. If you do only light to medium loads, this can occur from time to time. Lift lid as the unit goes into the spin cycle to check. If it is evenly distributed, you may have a support problem.
