SOURCE: Where can I find the

Look on the very top back edge of the washer, as if you are looking over the back of the machine. If not there, older machines had a sticker on the left side panel at the bottom front.

SOURCE: will not spin

You have either a bad lid switch, a bad drive coupling or a bad timer. If you can move the timer dial to spin manually and turn it on and it spins the lid switch is good and the timer is bad. If you manually move it to spin and the motor runs with no spin, the drive coupling is bad. If you manually move it to spin and nothing happens, the lid switch is bad.

SOURCE: kenmore heavy duty extra large capacity washer

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.13212200&pathTaken=partSearch

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

If it neither drains nor spins, the first thing to check is the Lid Switch. This prevents the machine from draining and spinning if the lid is open.

I assume that you cannot hear the motor trying to turn.

See the following for how to access the console and Lid Switch connection.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131&osCsid=6f8112b458c05fcc8f6d1a4139b9a723

Following is a Whirlpool installation and maintenance PDF on top load, direct drive washers. It has a description of how to by-pass the switch.

It also has a troubleshooting guide.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf8525712

2007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, remove the two plastic clips from the console,

remove the two screws under the clips, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire,

jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.

With the jumper in place, try to re-start the washer.

If it works, the Lid Switch is a relatively inexpensive part.

Cell phone gets hot

Probably due to lots of apps running in current and background sessions. Turn some of the unneeded apps off, and understand that as you use your phone the battery will become warm as it provides the current to the phone.

GE 5 Cycle Automatic Heavy Duty Extra Large loud noise

All ge dryers have a center bearing on the back side of the drum and drum glides on the frontside. The glides make a scrubbing sound when bad and the drum is hard to turn. The rear bearing does a squeak thang when the plastic bearing wears thin and begins to make metal to metal contact between drum mount and rear bulkhead mount. It is an easy fix but the drum gotta come out. here is my pictorial page that shows how with videos and repair pix:

I have a stackable kenmore washer dryer heavy duty extra large capacity 2 speed motor. The dryer has been making squeeling noise and has stopped toumbling around what can the problem be.

Could be the belt which connects motor and dryer drum. Could be the drum support rollers. Replace both either way -- common problem.

Belt came off washer

Spider arm to the washer drum is broken. Parts is expensive and labor to repairs will cost you more than if you just go out and buy a new washer. Sorry for the bad news.
