SOURCE: stuck in french setting - need english
If you are using Windows XP (could beVista... but not certain)
Go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options:
Under your Regional Options Tab, be sure that it is set to English (United States) if that is where you reside.
Then go to the Language Tab, and under Text Service and Input Language, click on Details... be sure to select English under the Default Input Language. Click Apply to all windows and that should do it.

check connector at temperature sensor. If good connection, replace sensor. Use high temp RTV sealer on threads.
