The generater runs fine but when I plug into the ac outlet it runs for a minute and then the breaker trips. I can reset but it pops after a minute.
could either be a bad breaker ( if so - replace with a new one ).
or you could be having a winding problem,,
but I would start with the breaker replacement,, the breakers that they use on these units are very cheap and fail quite often. there are a few places that you can buy a new breaker at ( depending on where you live ) -- a marine supply shop will carry a breaker 'similar' to the one that is used on this,, OR a industrial tool and supply store may carry it,, you can also try a auto parts store or some well stocked hardware stores will carry something close. if you still have no luck finding the breaker in your area - you can call the manufacture of the generator and buy one directly through them.
if you have any other questions about this unit - please feel free to write back and ask,, I am a certified generator mechanic and I will do my best to walk you through further troubleshooting.
have a great day,
