ive been able to thaw line by using hair dryer on inside of freezer door

that indicates it is not getting enough water inthe ice mold most icemakers have a water adjustment screw behind the cover if it cant be adjusted the inlet valve may need replacing

the front cover will come off. if you dont see any screws then it WILL unsnap. look for a slot on the top or bottom of the cover. good luck some of them can be nasty

look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

drip tray pulls foward (might take some serious finger strength but itll pull foward, revealling 2 phillips screws that will release the dispensor facade. before attempting i would unplug the harness atop the freezer door, you dont want to short circuit boards behind dispensor.

Just a thought. Our frigidaire stainless steel refrigerator came with a temorary protective film on the steel parts that we peeled off after it was installed.
