Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
as the bios was reset the harddrive password was removed from the bios memory.
To get the password unlocked you will need to remove the harddrive from the laptop, buy a adapter so you can connect it to your pc and then do a few things Il tell you about later if your going to do it.
otherwice you can take the harddrive to a shop to be unlocked / reset to defaults.

SOURCE: i forgot bios password on
Inorder to reset the password, you must open the case, and on the Motherboard there is a round battery. Its the size of a nickel. In some cases you can just remove the battery and wait a few seconds and then replace it.
Another alternative is to short some pins that will clear the bios password. In close proximity to that battery you should find a set of pins. Normally there are 3 pins together and there will be a jumper on one end of the 3 pins. What you have to do is to remove the jumper and move it to the other end of the pins. In other words if the pins are labeled 1-2-3 and right now there is jumper on 2 and 3., Then you will remove the jumper from there and place it on pins 1 and 2. Once doing so will reset the password on the bios. Wait a minute and then replace the jumper on 2 and 3. And then you should have your problem resolved....

All you need to do is open one of the covers on the backside of the laptop and remove the CMOS battery (it looks like the size of a quarter) for a few seconds, then place it back into it's holder and put the cover back on. You can then power up the laptop and then re-set up all the settings in the BIOS in order for the laptop to work correctly as all previous settings have been forgotten including the password.

If you know the current password, use it to enter BIOS SETUP.
Then, type a "blank" ("space-bar") as the "new" password.
If you don't know the current password, you're stuck;
this is a "security" feature to prevent a stolen laptop from being used by the thief.
