Emerson microwave table starts to turn as soon as the door is opened

I'd be AWFULLY NERVOUS about that - you don't know if the magnetron is also generating microwaves. If it IS, it can give you cataracts and/or blind you.

Check the three microswitches in the latch assembly.

The turn table motor of your microwave is defective already and also the magnetron - the source of generated heat of the microwave is also defective. But before assuming that magnetron is dead, check the high voltage fuse it may be blown and replace the fuse (if it is blown) it with similar rating. I hope I help you with your microwave problem.

The above soloutions are all very incorrect. The problem is a relay switch that is soldered to the timer board. This paticular relay is not available in theUS per the relay manufacturer OMRON. The unfortunate solution is get a new timer board or a whole new oven.

Problem fixed. Called number on micro and they were great in fixing the problem.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or occasionally a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up (and/or push down) on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

You need to trace the power feeding the high voltage transfomer. Because the table doesn't turn, it implies that a door switch or safety interlock is the problem.
