Question about Cannon Office Equipment & Supplies
SOURCE: scanning problem
Possibly there is a key that locks the engine that moves the scanner lamp, and that key may be locking the engine, and when the scanner try to move the lamp, the locked engine overloads the circuit, and turn off the device. Search for that key, and unlock this, (if it´s really locked).

SOURCE: My cannon pixma ip 1600 keeps giving an error
Hello there
You may not see a paper jam, so this is worth trying.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.
That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.
So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: Dear support hi! I need
Solution : Replace the Imaging Unit
The life of the Imaging Unit is approximately 20,000 pages for black and white, or 12,500 pages for color. When the life span of the Imaging Unit has expired, the Smart Panel program window will be displayed on the computer, indicating the unit needs to be replaced; otherwise, your printer will stop printing.
WARNING: Some parts inside the printer may be hot when the printer is powered ON, or after printing. Be careful not to burn yourself when working inside the printer.
To replace the Imaging Unit:
Click on the [Recycling] link under the Product Resources menu on this window.
CAUTION: Do not use sharp objects, such as a knife or scissors, to open the Imaging Unit package as this could damage the surface of the unit. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the unit.
Do not expose the Imaging Unit to light for more than a few minutes. Cover it with a piece of paper to protect it, if necessary.
NOTE: Each LED on the Control Panel blinks red in a repeated order. Wait for about three minutes for the printer to reach a 'Ready' status.
NOTE: If there is a cracking sound, re-install the Imaging Unit.
