hi, i have the same machine..i have a feeling it does this annually to make you call an engineer. to reset it do this; hold the 'start' button until all lights display, then press 'start' again. hold the 'start' and 'on/off' button together until it reads d-end or d-off. it doesnt always work 1st time so keep trying, good luck x

the applionce is in demmo mode and running a test cycle so you need to cancle the cycle first by holding the start reset button until all the screen iluminates(88:88) now you need to disable the demo mode by holding the start cancle and the on off buttons together until you see D OFF in some cases you may need to hold the button to the top left of the screen and the start and on off buttons but this will sort it

SOURCE: where is the filter on a hoitpoint ultima wf860

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} The filter is under the rear of the machine inside the sump hose. Remove the lower rear inspection panel and tilt the machine forward, keep it tilted by placing a tin of peas or something under it at the rear. Now put a shallow bowl or dish under the sump to catch any water that may still be it the drum and remove the retaining clip. Pull the hose free from the tub and the filter is inside. (Work safe and remove the power plug from the wall before commencing any repair) For more tips on repairs use this link selfix-uk

WF860 saying test on the display

Is this machine new and this is the first time you have used it?

If yes - you will need to let it complete the TEST cycle fully before it will be useable. (do not interupt - takes 60 to 90 mins)
