SOURCE: 6 disc changer will not eject cds==

I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.

SOURCE: I have a CD STUCK in my 2004 dodge Durango. How

1st try to hit the eject button multiple times in a row. If this doesn't work you have 3 options.
1= pull the radio unit, disassemble case, gingerly remove CD, and reassemble.
2=Go to dealer or repair shop and have them remove. If you have a warranty left, mopar should be able to help. Factory radios have been a problem with Mopar for years.
3= Go buy a new CD and forget about it

SOURCE: cd player quit working after i changed the battery radio still works fine.

kzingraff, I have a similar situation to Craig Waldie. I have a 2005 Durango and the CD player has not worked since I replaced the battery. Just like his 2004, the radio works perfectly, just not able to use the CD player. How can this issue be fixed?

SOURCE: need radio 'code' for 2000 montero sport with factory cd player

From Mitsubishi's site FAQ's

I need a radio code for my vehicle. How do I get this?
You will need to speak to your Dealer who can organise this on your behalf. You will be required to submit your details and proof of ownership.

By law FixYa can not provide this information.

Does my stock 2003 Dodge Durango cd/cassette/fm player have an aux input? I'd like to know without tearing apart my dash. Thanks.

No, it doesn't. The radio needs to have CD^ on the 1 button to accept an adapter (instead of the factory 5 disc changer). The adapter is made by a few different companies (search on google), and you'll need to pull the radio to install it. My guess is that a stereo shop can install one for you for around $100.

I have a 2003 Dodge Durango R/T with the same radio, and will be looking to do that soon. There are a few aux input jacks that can be installed in the dash for convenience, at a small extra cost.

We can't get the factory 6 disc cd player to load more than 1 disc. What is the sequence for loading additional discs?

The following is the owner's manual for your 2004 Dodge Neon:

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html?year=2004&nameplate=Neon

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

Wow, that's a lot of typing.
I didn't know the 2004 Dodge Neon had such a nice changer.
Good luck.

I changed the battery in my 05 dodge caravan and now the cd changer doesn't work.it ''gears'' up when you turn on the power but the mode button only recognizes am and fm and not cd any fix?

sounds like a bad radio that shouldnt happen bttery has no effect on changer opperation if the radio powers up the changer should work as long as its a factory radio w an internal six disc changer.

6CD Cahnger-Infinity G35 2005

This is a common CD changer we see in shop for repair, see www.carstereohelp.com However, before thinking of repair, disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes then reconnect. This is easier then removing the stereo and reinstalling and acts as a reset for the changer. Otherwise, repair.

Dodge durango cd changer

I had the same problem. Repair was more than replacing radio. Go to Crutchfield for good prices. Remember if you have the Infinity sound system you will need another $65 for a box to activate your cars amps and speakers.
