As for the thermostat you should conect the two points where the lement is conected and turn the thermostat if you seen at onhmeter that aroud room temperature the themostat open and then if you rotate it reverse just litle bit and the theremostat close then the thermostat works fine. Youcan even here and small click when it open and close during the turning left and then right at the point of room temeperature.
