hp printers typically do not have an error message to cover every known condition, thus if the printer needs maintenance in an undefined area, it will invariably indicate a paper jam. The printer usually responds to the installation of a maintenance kit which will include transfer roller, pickup rollers, and fuser.

SOURCE: laserjet 4345 mfp paper jam

13.20.00 can be also caused be a jam near the fuser (the part of the printer that gets hot to make the toner stick to the paper). Remove the toner cartridge and take a look for small scraps of paper along the whole path. Also open the door on the back of the printer and look for paper scraps from there. If you see paper stuck in the fuser, do not use anything sharp to remove it, be careful not to scratch the surfaces.

SOURCE: default paper tray selection for HP LaserJet 4200tn

1) When the printer receives a print job, it selects the tray by trying to match the requested paper type and size with what has been loaded in the trays. Using an “autoselect” process, it searches all available trays for the paper that satisfies the request, starting with the bottom tray and ending with the top tray (tray 1). The printer begins printing the job as soon as it finds the proper type/size.

2) If paper is loaded in tray 1 and tray 1 is set "TRAY 1 TYPE=ANY" and "TRAY 1 SIZE=ANY" on the
Paper Handling menu, the printer will always pull paper from tray 1 first.

5. Remove paper left roller plate.(show in the picture)
6. Now remove the first tray paper feeding section(is a complete unit included paper feed rollers motor and clutch and gear section)
7. Clean the drooped developer from all gears and roller and motor section

Misfeed in tray one with no misfed paper. The machine is trying to grad from tray one but cant.

Pull out your paper tray (instructions below) and make sure there's not paper behind the tray blocking the motors from operating.

Else, worn rollers or broken lift motor.

First go to the service sim mode with the key combo # * C *

Type 22 - Start 9 - Start

If your tray 1 counter is above 100,000 your 3 rollers need to be changed. This is easily done by taking out the tray (you must tilt to the left and lift up at the end), unclipping and removing the paper guide, and unclipping and removing the 3 paper tires.

If your counter is under 100K try washing your rollers with soap and water, rubber cleaner and alcohol if you have it, but not Windex or 409. Your matched set of feed/sep tires should have some rough tread on them, if they are baby **** smooth its' replacement time.

If it pulls paper from a fresh stack and then stops pulling after a few sheets, the motor that continunally lifts the paper stack to meet the rollers has broken down, and can be replaced from the back of the machine.

Paper will not feed Gestetner 5325

check the paper tray end stop ie the green tab that keeps the paper in the tray as these can come out or be moved.. when you load paper make sure the green tab is tight against the paper.. also the feed rollers might need replacing.. if you take the tray out and then look inside the opening to the right hand of the opening you will see some grey rollers or it may be one large roller this can be removed and cleaned.. the small type have a litle white clip holding in place.. if you have the large roller there is a plastic black lever towards the fron on the top right that has to be moved out to the front then you can remove the roller and clean..Good luck let me know if you need more info

AR 200- paper pulls to the green bar and then stops- will not print or move from there and screen says to clear paper path. no paper moves beyond the same point.

This "green bar" (registration roller) could be a few things
  1. Registration sensor dirty or inoperable
  2. Feed tires dirty
  3. Registration rollers dirty
  4. Fuser gate broken
For item 1 the flag and sensor is located under the copier. if you only have one tray then this can be located and removed easily. if you have 2 trays then this get more difficult. Here are the steps for one tray
  1. Open and remove right side door
  2. Remove toner, developer, and drum unit
  3. Remove paper tray
  4. Turn copier on its right side
  5. (Top is away from table and bottom is towards table) Towards the bottom of the copier there is a guide that needs to be removed (2 screws)
  6. There is a cover where a couple of wires are going to needs to be removed (use caution)
  7. Once removed take can of air and blow out sensor
  8. Replace items as removed
For item 2 follow steps 1-4 and locate tires clean using warm soapy water on a lint free cloth or mechanics towel

For item 3 open and remove right side door and clean grey rollers located under green cylinder which is your drum (USE caution not to touch or damage)

If the first 3 steps do not help then you should call your local Sharp dealer for repairs.

Printing problem with HP Laserjet P2015 printer

This can be an issue with one of the faulty sensor across the printer.
Please check if you are able to print from tray 1, e.g. a configuration page.
A config page can be printed by holding the Green Button and releasing it as soon as the Triangle light comes on. This would take approx 5 secs.
If the printer is able to print from tray 1, then it could be an issue with the tray 2 pickup sensor.
Check if the tray 2 pickup sensor ( a black plastic piece to the right of the tray 2 pickup roller) is moving freely (front and back), also check if tray 2 pickup roller is not able to rotate completely.

If the tray 2 sensor is not moving freely and of the pickup roller is rotating completely, then reseat the pickup roller.

Normal use with good media causes wear resulting in the need to periodically clean or replace the pickup roller. Additionally, the use of poor media might require more frequent replacement of the pickup roller. Replacing the pickup roller Complete the following to replace the pickup roller:

CAUTION: Failure to complete this procedure might damage the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and allow the printer to cool.
