The preset memory is cleared to return to the

Expect to reset your car clock too!

SOURCE: my car radio has to be reset every time the car turns off
i don't know what kind of car that you have but on that radio there should be two power wires one is red and the other is yellow, the red wire connects to the wire in the car that will only have power when the key is turned to the on position, the yellow wire connects to the wire in the car that always has power with the key off.........

Thank you Anthony- tried that but it just clears your own settings- does not reset to factory default
I apologize.. the reset info is actually shown as page 4 and 5 when the manual is downloaded?
Another try is: Car OFF, radio OFF, now pull the RADIO FUSE!
Leave the car OFF, but turn the RADIO ON and leave it on... Now wait about 10 min. and hopefully this process will 'drain' electrolytic capacitors of voltage that may be used to retain station memory/stations?
CAR LIGHTS also supply switched (RADIO) voltage to power the lights on the radio panel/face, but I doubt if they are part of the problem of your 'memory retention' here>?

Thanks Anthony. Do not want to clear just my own added settings- want to reset to factory default and there is no reset button or combination of other buttons to press that works.
Joe, if this is a 'factory installed' or 'dealer installed' radio they should be able to help!
If not try this page:
