SOURCE: The oven door are not closing all the way
spot, Maytag put out a service bullitin on this issue....TDC-0017B-B, They put out a new hinge kit...part #12002111 for single and 12002112 for double units. This may be covered under this service flash. Call Maytag service and inquire about the above mentioned service bullitin. Problem addresses doors not closing...Catriver..post back.

according to me ,there is some issue with the cables that are connected the heat functionality of oven , because the same happned with my lg microwave , then the tech checked it , it was a cable fault , one of the cable was loose when the door was fully closed microwave was not working but when we leave some space while closing it it was working , so it is recomended if your oven is in warranty the call the company technicans to fix it , plase dont try if dont have expertis on it take help of tech who knows about microwave

The handbook tells you how to take the door off. If you can do this, do so and then clean/spray all the door hinge mechanisms with WD40. Remove the surplus with kitchen towel and replace the door. Operate the door a number of times to see if this has cleared the problem. (Over time the hinges seize up and the WD 40 normally eases this situation).
(Don't be confused with the air flow coming out of the oven from the cooling fan as this also runs along the top edge of the door).

Hi there.
Westinghouse have produced a modification which replaces the left and right door support channels in the front of the oven.

in Mt Wellington Auckland, and he can sell you the reinforced parts which cost me $27 for my oven.
I am replacing these channels myself this weekend as warranty no longer applies to our oven, but if yours is still under warranty I'd suggest that Axial will do the whole job.
