How to use keyboard on smart tv

Keyboards connect to Smart TVs using two main processes, but check the user manuals for both devices to determine the specific instructions. For wireless keyboards, push the wireless USB dongle into one of the TV's USB ports, while both the TV and keyboard are turned on.
https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-connect-a-keyboard-to-a-tv
Plug the wireless receiver into USB port 2 on the back of the TV. Turn the TV on and allow to power up. Press and hold the CONNECT button on the backside of the keyboard for 3 seconds or more to connect to the TV.

How do i connect hammacher wireless speakers to a toshiba smart tv

Model of both the TV and speakers, please. For example, without the model of the TV how is anyone supposed to know which inputs/outputs it has?

Edit: Dan, Thanks for providing the model numbers. I was hoping the solution would be something simple like switching the audio from internal to external speakers in the TV settings. However, when I looked at the owner's manual http://support.toshiba.ca/support/ceg/manuals/LEDTV/40-50L3400UC_E.pdf it appears that the rca jacks you tried on the back of the TV are inputs for old VCRs, DVD players etc. rather than an output which would be needed to send an audio signal to your speakers. In this case you will need to use the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT on the back on the TV. In order to use this you will need to purchase an Optical Digital Toslink Coaxial to Analog RCA converter. Make sure it uses a larger Toslink connector and not a mini one. The Toslink cable will plug into the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT on the back of your TV and then be plugged into the converter device. Your white and red RCA cables will go between the converter and your speaker transmitter unit. In addition the converter will have a power adapter that needs to be plugged into a wall outlet. There may need to be some audio settings changed in the TV menu to get this to function properly. It's best to buy from a retailer with a good return policy just in case it doesn't work.
Hope this helps.

I have a Toshiba tv that is connected to Direct tv and I want to know how to connect my new Phillips dvd player to it my tv?

Flat screens normally have 3 different inputs from tv. Regular is tv coax cable, then audio/picture by using special rca cables, then last HDMI. You can use any of those inputs except hdmi because you already are using that input. You may be able to buy a hdmi splitting device that will allow both the tv and the player to input to the single hdmi input. Check Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

Why would you connect it to wi fi? It is not a smart tv (no streaming)
You could buy a Roku, and connect that for streaming movies. Roku costs $50-100

I dont know how to get the internet on my vizio tv.

I am assuming you have a smart TV. If not, the best you can do is have the TV act as a monitor for your computer. If it is a smart TV, it must be connected to the internet by one of two ways. 1. wireless: Most smart TVs have Wi-Fi built in. In order for this to work, you need to have a Wi-Fi system in your home. Your TV manual should walk you through the steps to connect to your in house network. This will be different depending on if it is secured or unsecured. 2. Hardwired: If you have a hardwired internet setup, you need to run a Category 7 (Ethernet) cable from your modem/router to the Lan connector on your set. It is the one with the symbol of a horizontal line with one box centered above the line and two boxes below the line. In either case, if you want to use the browser function, you must attach a keyboard to the USB port on the set. If you do not have a smart TV you can connect the TV to your computer using an HDMI cable. It will then act as a computer monitor when the TV input is set to that HDMI input. I hope this helps.
