Try a brand new needle.

If that doesn't work, your machine has probably been knocked out of time. Take it for service or if you are handy, you can search for "sewing machine timing" and try to fix it yourself.

SOURCE: Singer 6267 self winding bobbin winds around shaft under

I just figured out why my bobbine was winding on shaft instead of on the bobbin. first of all make sure the bobbin is setting up high enough, top of bobbin needs to be a fraction higher then the bobbin shuttle, next check to make sure there are no burrs on the bobbin, then make sure that the thear is catching in the groove (**** in top) of the bobbin. In order to get mine to wind i had to lett the tread go down and then slip the thread in the groove. also remember to leave the pressure foot up do not put it down. let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: I can't raise the bobbin thread. The needle raises before the bobbin thread can 'catch'

readjust the hook to just grab the thread loop as the needle raises it will take a few tries to get the exact setting for the hook (maybe you will see a mark on the hook shaft to show you where the hook's set screw was located before it slipped)

SOURCE: My Singer model 7466 will not pick up the bobbin thread.

I have a singer 7466 that won't sew. I have removed & replaced the bobbin case several times and re-threaded several times and it just won't work. I'm afraid I'll burn the motor! What do I do?

SOURCE: Singer 301a Bobbin troubles

I just had this problem, too - if you have the manual, check out page 15. If you have removed the throat plate, you need to make sure that the position finger on the bobbin case base enters a notch on the underside of the throat plate. Fixed my problem right away.

How to load bobbin thread on my new singer 4411 machine. i have not used a sewing machine for 10 years and i have forgotten how to get thread on the blank bobbin.

First place the thread spool on the spool holder and secure it with the spool cap. Bring the thread to the left and snap it into the thread guide. Wind the thread clockwise around the bobbin tension discs. (Bring the thread to the right side of the discs and and then around the discs. Bring the thread to the right and then insert the end of the thread into the hole in the bobbin. Make sure that the hole is facing up. Place the bobbin on the bobbin spindle and push the spindle to the right. Hold onto the thread that is above the bobbin and step on the foot pedal to start winding the bobbin. When the bobbin is full enough, stop pressing the foot pedal (or wait for the machine to stop winding the bobbin). Cut the thread and move the spindle to the left. Remove the bobbin from the spindle.

Many Singer sewing machine manuals are available from their support page: https://www.singer.com/support . The current link to the 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine manual is https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%204411%20Heavy%20Duty%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf . The directions and pictures for winding a bobbin are on page 12 (page 19 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

How to wind bobbin on model 4411

Do you mean the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine? If so,
first place the spool on the spool pin with an appropriate sized spool holder, if you are starting the project. Snap the thread into the thread guide to the left of the of the spool pin. Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin winder tension discs (slightly to the left and forward of the thread guide). Bring thread towards the bobbin spindle. Thread the bobbin (put the thread through the hole in the bobbin). Place the bobbin on the spindle with the hole up. Move the bobbin spindle to the right. Hold onto the thread above the bobbin and step on the foot control pedal. When the bobbin finishes winding the thread, cut the thread at the top of the bobbin and the incoming thread from the spool. Move the bobbin spindle to the left and remove the bobbin. If you have already threaded the machine for sewing, you will need to remove it from the various guides and tension discs that are used in sewing. Then after winding the bobbin, re-thread the top thread.

The directions to wind the bobbin are in the manual on page 12 (page 19 of the PDF). You can find many Singer manuals at the Singer support page: https://www.singer.com/support . The 4411 support page is https://www.singer.com/search/support?lp=support&title=4411 . The current link to the manual is https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%204411%20Heavy%20Duty%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Singer 4411 sews fine forward and reverse in straight stitch, in zigzag top thread looks fine on top, but all loopy underneath and will only reverse stitch 1 or 2 zigs or zags

check that the bobbin underneath has the same thread as the upper bobbin and that you push all the way on the lever when sewing back and also, go full speed as this happened to me and that was my mistake. Hope this will help you :)

I have a singer 4411 and the bottom thread looks zig zag and top is good I am using a heavier thread for outdoor sewing and a 18 needle. The local singer dealer said that i can get the lower bobbin...

Understanding Thread Tension Threads

Be sure to mark the tension screw setting on the bobbin BEFORE you make any adjustments so you can reverse the changes. If you sew a lot of heavy fabric, it may be worthwhile to buy an extra bobbin (they aren't that expensive). Then set one bobbin for heavy thread and keep one for regular thread. Makes it a lot easier to go from one to the other without fiddling with tension screw adjustments.
