I have a timex camel promotion watch. The second hand stalls at random points on the face of the watch. It is a 24 hour watch, and it is a timex indiglo. It has no serial number.

The watch has a new battery, and I can't tell the make and model.

Setting timex analog mens watch with small window in face of watch indicating day of week, I think

Lots of older watches needed to have the hands advanced 24 hours to advance the date one day. Fortunately most modern watches require the hands to be wound backwards to advance the date, often at the rate of a day per hour. A combination of the backward and forward winding of the hands made adjusting the day and date much simpler and quicker.

A few premium watches had a third position when pulling out the winder, a position dedicated to adjusting the day/date

How to change from military time back to regular time on a digital indigo watch with 4 adjustment buttons?

Thank you for contacting FixYa.

Press the "MODE" button---usually on the lower left side of the watch, but sometimes on the right center side---to cycle through to the time display.

Press and hold the "SET" button---usually on the right lower side of the watch---until the seconds flash.

Press "MODE" repeatedly to cycle through the displays that flash: from hours to minutes to month to date and day. This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.

Press the "SET" button again. Watch erratic. Slows suddenly between days of working well.

Sounds like a failing battery to me. Its very common for a watch to loose time when battery needs to be changed.

The 24hr hand is meant to keep time in another

I too was confused at first at setting the second hand after reading the directions. I read your post in searching for a solution, then I figured it out. Check the watch face, the second hand is operating using military time. (24 hr. time) You will see 24 hour time embedded on the face.
For example: if you wanted to set both hands to be at the same time to test this. At say 10 p.m. set the second time hand to 22 for 2200 hrs. (10 p.m.) Let's say you woke up at 7 a.m. The second hand would be at 0700 (Embedded on watch face) then at noon it would say 1200 on the watch face... I now use the normal hands for local time and set the 24 hour hand for my home time.
I hope this helps.

Tag Carrera Twin time , second hour hand is not staying at time

The second time zone hand is running on a 24 hour face (right hand half of face is morning, left hand half of face is afternoon/evening) so all you need do is multiply what it points at by two. As an example, if your second time zone hand is pointing to the right (3 o'clock) then it represents 6am and if it is pointing to the left (9 o'clock) then it represents 6pm [9 x 2 = 18:00]

How to access older timex automatic watch second hand

You should be able to open the back by popping it off with a sharp knife blade. Sometimes, the lip where you'd open it is hard to see and usually under the band, between the lugs. The movement will just come out. If I read you right, you know how to do this, once the movement is removed. You can't just pull the hands off. Hopefully, you'll be able to just VERY EASILY bend the one that is causing the problem.
