SOURCE: Hook an ipod to Pioneer DEH-16

The RCA jacks on the rear of the head unit are rear pre-amp outputs. (google it if you need an explination on what purpose they serve or see the installation guide) With that said, I am able to play my mp3 player through them but since they are 'rear' pre-amp outputs my mp3s only play on the rear speakers. see this post for more...

SOURCE: Alpine CDA 9827 using aux mode with ipod shuffle via rca inputs

Unfortunately, the rca outputs are to control an amplifier or crossover. They do make an ipod adapter for that radio, which allows you to control the ipod through the radio. Best Buy or any Alpine dealer should carry something for around $25.

lost the manual that it? say the word lost. My second guess is you installing this, and do not understand cars power structures. well, a radio head, like this has 3 power wires. 1: main power. 2: backlighting'. 3: memory wire. 4: some have electric antenna controls power.
the answer to #1 regardless of color. is it goes to . the fuse marked radio in the fuse box. this is key on power, for accessories and ignition on.

I have a VR-407 reciever and I am unable to get my CD/DVD rear outputs to work. I am hooking up a DP-3020 and I can get it to work in the Audio L/R jacks in the front. Is there something that I need to do...

A Kenwood VR-407 is a receiver and has an INPUT pair for CD/DVD, not outputs. Plug ANY functioning audio source (except a turntable) into it and select it on the front panel.

If your DP doesn't work on either I'd suspect something is wrong with IT.

How to connect samsung dvd to samsung tv

Follow these steps: Component Video Connection 1. Get a component video cable. This cable has 3 sets of connectors, one each for the red, blue and green color signals.
2 Match the connectors to the appropriate video output jacks on the DVD player. Component video outputs will normally be labeled Cr/Cb/Cy. The Cy output jack is matched to green, Cr to red and Cb to blue.
3 Run the cable from DVD player to the TV. Most TV connections are made from the back panel, but this may vary.
4 Match the connectors to the appropriate video input jacks on the TV.
If using S-Video Connection
1 Get an S-video cable. This cable has a single round connector with 4 pins.
2 Attach one end of the S-video cable to the S-video output jack on the DVD player.
3 Attach the other end to the S-video input jack on the TV.
Composite Video Connection 1 Get a composite video cable. These types of cables are frequently bundled with two-channel audio cables. Composite video cables are tipped with yellow plugs.
2 Plug one end of the composite video cable into the composite video output jack on your DVD player.
3 Plug the other end into the composite video input jack on your TV.

How do you fix a cd player on a stereo

Usually fixing CD players on stereoare quite simple and depends on the stereo in question. First you have to check if the stereo has a space for auxiliary port at the back it is usually denoted by AUX if it doesthen the operation is possible. All you have to do is get one of two types of cables depending on what type of CD player. If it is a walkman then you get the cable with Single 3mm earphone jacks to double av. If on the other hand the cd player has the av jack output then you get the normal av cable. connect from the output of cd player to aux of stereo then change the stereo function to aux.
hope this solution has been helpful?

The battery on my car ent dead and now my AIWA CDC-MP32 keeps displaying "please unplug auxillary plugs"

Hi,

An auxiliary input allows you to select an external source and play it through the cd player's amplifier. It's often used for iPods and MP-3 players. Typically you just need an inexpensive patch cable that connects the headphone output from your portable player to the input on the CD player. After that you can select "AUX" as another source like CD or Tuner, and whatever's playing on the portable unit will be heard through the speakers.
Auxiliary inputs can be on the front or the rear of the CD player. Front aux inputs are typically 3.5mm stereo plugs, similar to a small headphone jack. Rear aux inputs can be RCA jacks or a 3.5mm jack. If you have a CD player with a rear aux input, a cable needs to be connected at the time of installation. Then the other end can be routed to whatever location in the vehicle you want to keep your portable player while you're using it with the CD player.
Front aux jacks are more convenient for quick connecting/disconnecting the portable player, but they tend to wear out over time.

Let us know if you have somethin more to ask else accept the suggestion.

Zune problem

ok first off, you need to set your stereo system to aux....remember aux the zune is not a cd player.
depending on the brand of stereo system there is a setting were you can change it from cd, to radio and AUX. SET IT TO AUX
do you have a stereo head phone jack on your stereo system, if you do a much better solution is getting a double sided audio cable and plugging the zune directly into the head phone jack to your stereo system it costs maybe $10 for a good gold plated phillips

what i mean just incase you didnt understand is you need a double sided plug for the headphone jack, this plugs into most stereo systems

Auxilary RCA inputs have no volume control

Your problem stems from the fact that the CDA-7892 is not equipped with an RCA aux-input jack. If you're plugged into RCA connectors at the back of the head unit, they're outputs, not inputs. The sound you hear is just feeding back through the outputs and into the head unit's amplifier. If you want to play your iPod through this head unit, you need to purchase either the auxiliary input adapter (KCA-121B) or iPod adapter (KCA-420i).
