How do I set my Howard Miller Accuwave DS clock?

I just put in a new battery, and it keeps resetting itself for about 5 hours slower. I live in the Central Time Zone.

The radio may not be able to get a strong enough or clear enough signal to process (night is best away from TV, computers and radios).  To regain "control" of the clock, take the battery out, wait 30 seconds and then reinstall it.  This will reset the clock.  You can then manually set the clock.
Press SET for a few seconds until the hour starts flashing in the display.  Then press the ADJUST button to set the hour.  Press SET to move to the different functions (Hour -> Minutes -> Seconds-> Month -> Date -> Year) each time using the ADJUST button to correct the setting.  Finally press MODE to exit the setting mode.
If the time zone is incorrect for your area (default is PST), press MODE to enter the Alarm Time Mode; then press SET to flip through the time zones; then press MODE again to exit.
The little "reset" is for use if the LCD display doesn't come on when the battery is changed. It doesn't affect any of the clock settings per se.

All done correctly but clock no longer sets off song each hour

No 'make model (what is is)', so all guesswork.

Howard Miller, musical clock?

Read the manual, have it repaired. There is a switch inside or electronics, like an alarm call that plays on every hour. Try removing batteries for 5 minutes to reset.

Howard Miller Christopher Quartz mantel clock chime adjustment

Try pulling the batteries out, set the clock to 5:45 then put the batteries back in. Set the time to 6:00 and count how many times it strikes. If it strikes 6 then your good. If it strikes a different number say 5, take the batteries back out, and set the clock to 4:45 then put the batteries back it, set clock to 5 and count the strike. Most quartz clocks reset their chimes to 5:00 when new batteries are installed regardless of the time shown on the face. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

I need a Howard Miller battery mantle clock

Try www.klockit.com. You can replace the entire movement for about $5 including new hands. You can select from an assortment of hands that will probably match the style of what you have and use those if the old hands don't fit the new movement. I've bought several movements from them over the years. For a few more dollars you can upgrade to an "atomic clock" movement which synchronizes with the US time signal and even sets DST automatically.
