I have the same unit that is having screen problems. I have been unable to locate parts for this unit. I was told that there are no parts available for these units. I am looking to buy a screen that will replace mine. I am trying to find the specs so that I can find a manufacturer with a unit I can fix my GPS with. Or, if you are interested in selling yours at a decent price, let me know.

i have a 1 gig 182c works fine

My 182C developed the same problem. It appears to be a problem with reading data from the card. When I power up the unit, sometimes it will display "Reading Card" for a long time and no data will be read. I've found that if I open the latch and push in on the card as I press the power button, it will only then display the number of maps loaded. Sometimes less than other times. Most times a lot of data is not loaded from the card causing the problem frankcps describes and other problems, such as no data for tide stations, anchorage, etc. I tried cleaning the contacts on the data card & where it plugs in, but still continue to have the problem.
