Use Roku Accessibility Settings

You can also turn off narration on your Roku from the Accessibility options. From the Roku Home screen, go to Settings > Accessibility. Under Audio Guide, select Audio Guide or Screen reader. Highlight Off to disable this feature.

Roku has been working for months tv screen turned black today in middle of program now nothing. Roku is working because power indicator lights up but nothing on screen.

Check the video output cable (HDMI or composite/RCA, etc.) from the Roku to the TV, to make sure it's still connected. Verify that you're watching the input on the TV that the Roku is connected to. If that doesn't work, contact Roku support. I hope your unit didn't just die.

I only have on set of white, yellow & red receptors on back of tv. There is a set (entitled Video 2) on the side of the tv.1st - can I attach the Roku to the receptors at the side of the tv or2nd - i...

You didn't say which Roku you have, so I will assume you have a Roku 3 since it's the only one without RCA output jacks (the red, white, and yellow jacks you mention). You can return the Roku 3 and get a Roku 2. You can only attach the Roku to a switching box if 1) the Roku has the RCA outputs and your switch has A/V inputs. If you DO have the Roku 3, then you may be able to purchase a HDMI to RCA cable from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-RCA-VGA-Cable-1-8m/dp/B002ZUI68G

I am trying to install ROKU video streamer into my Sharp TV model 27KS300. Roku says to plug their red/yellow/white RCA cable into the video in ports on your TV. I do this but nothing happens. I am...

Yes these are the same yellow white and red ports that you would use to connect your DVD player. I believe this television has one port in the front and one in the back. I might be wrong but I believe video 1 is in the back and video 2 is in the front. If you have tried video 1 and video 2 making sure you have pressed the video/input button to select the proper one after connecting your Roku then you have done everything properly. Make sure to try a different RCA cable to make sure it is not the cable that is causing the problem. Also try the Roku on a different television because if it is working on a different television with the same RCA cable then you'll know that it isn't compatible with this particular television.

Make sure you select the correct input for your device. If you are using RCA cables then select the RGB option on your inputs, or it may RCA as a connection. If you are using HDMI then make sure that is selected.
