You may need to change the input on your tv, and check the output cables to make sure they are hooked up correctly.

SOURCE: How do you unlock an

Hi,

Please follow the steps below to unlock your Allegro ABV441 to region free:

1. Press "Pause" on your remote control
2. Enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 9 with the numerical buttons on your remote
3. Press 0 on your remote control for region free. (or 1 for Region 1 / 2 for Region 2)
4. Press "Pause" again
5. Turn the power off for a few seconds.
6. Turn the power back on again

This sequence will only work if you complete the code entry fairly quickly and without pausing, so familiarise yourself with the sequence before starting. If the code doesn't work, power off and back on again and restart at step 1.

Your DVD player should now be region free!

Please post back if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I have Magnavox DVD player/vcr DV225MG9, does it record from vhs onto dvds? And if not, what do I need to get so that I can copy all of these old vhs movies to dvds?

it won't record dvd's its only a dvd player. only the vcr records
if the vhs movies your trying to record are movies like star wars and stuff like that it's copy protected and no worth the trouble. if it's home movies or something you recorded from tv they might work. if you get a dvd recorder/vhs player.

Trying to copy vcr tapes onto a dvd and it will not let me...says protected? how?

If the tapes are commercial type movies being bought at a store some time ago, the system will detect it as copy right protected and will not let you make a copy. I've had the problem in the past many times, but if the tape is a home made movie taken with a video camera, it should let you copy it. Some video to pc software does this even with homemade video movies, very frustrating and annoying some times.

Model abv441 Picture flutters when playing vcr tape

Remove the casing of the unit. You will see a head where the tape runs across. Keeping it powered up, with tape in....There are three screws around the base of the head. With a small phillips adjust the head by turning the screws one by one. If you adjust out too far, the screws will come out completely. Take your time when adjusting. You will notice the picture change with the turning of the screws. The sound will change also. It takes very little adjusting to get it right. Play around with it and it will work in no time...Good Luck

No audio during movie (Die HArd movies)

Sometimes, the movie video suddenly gets muted during the playback and some prompt-up message shows on your screen, like "Audio outputs temporarily muted". Actually, this is caused by Cinavia Message Code 3.
