SOURCE: SEBO vacuum cleaner

Take the hose off and see if the light is still on or is it off. If it is off, then there is a clog in the hose. While the hose is off, drop something thru it and see if it comes out the other end. Press the retaining clip and the hose will disconnect. Separate the power head from the handle unit to make sure there is no clog by the brush roll. If it is still on then probably the computer controller, part # 5740ER has a problem. It is located in the power head.

SOURCE: Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly

The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

SOURCE: Full bag system works properly, but doesn't reset easily

Either there is something wrong with your switch. Which it doesnt sound like it. Take it to your dealer or call another one it sounds like the control valve needs to be replaced. I am a dealer 1-866-966-9350.

SOURCE: Electrolux model 2100 shuts off with slightest suction blockage

This is exactly the symptom you would expect from a defective bag control valve. The actual control valve sits under the dial on top of the vac and often cracks internally. It can be replaced in about 15 minutes by a good tech with genuine parts from AERUS Elctrolux dealer or repair center.
You can open the vac front to rear like a **** shell by sliding the bumpers out the front with the bag door open, however you must be careful not to disturb the wiring harness and to mark wiring locations. The body must be carefully realigned for closure. If it is not perfect you will not be able to slide the bumpers back in.

Lux 7000 Keeps shutting off, change bag lights up. Bag changed.....no difference. I'm using the manufacturers bag too! A little help??

This was an answer given from Thomas on Fixya 5 years ago for this same problem:
"Electrolux uses a pressure differential control valve. This valve measures air before and after the bag. There is a orifice or small hole where the hose connects to the vacuum cleaner, and a orifice at the back of the bag canister. As the bag fills up the suction pressure reduces at the hose connection and increases at back of the bag canister. When this happens the control valve has a diaphragm that closes, which shuts the vacuum off and gives you a full bag light. There is a thin plastic flange that prevents an o ring on the control valve stem from coming off. The flange breaks, the o rings comes off the stem and the vacuum will shut down indicating bag full. The after market price is about 22.00. The valve is easy to replace if you are familiar on electrolux vacuums. When I replace these valves, I use epoxy two part plastic putty on the flange of the valve. It takes 2 days to cure, but the flange will not break."

Another person responded for the series 6000 (which may not be applicable to your 7000):
"Turn the knob on the top of the vacuum all the way to the right.I had the same problem and that fixed it."

Good luck on your troubleshooting.

Put the vac on it's side and pull off the sliders on both sides.Carefully pull machine apart.lift the front of the piece that hold you bag.Underneathe there is a clear tube plugged in to a round thing on switch area.Simply pull the tube out of the rouind trhing. This will allow you to fillthe bag without shut dow.Just make sure your bag doesn't get too full....Chris

Aerus Lux 7000: the full bag light keeps coming on but the bag is not full.

Started to work intermittently, then just stopped

Is the controls to this machine in the hose. If so, then the hose is going bad. That is pretty typical for these models,

Bag light shows bag is full and shuts off.

It sounds like you have a bad control valve. The best thing to do is take it to an Aerus Electrolux dealer and have them replace it for you. It shouldn't be very expensive and they can probably do it while you wait. Good Luck!

Kenmore Progressive Canister w/Hepa Filter

May have a problem with the motor protector or the motor itself. The motor thermo protector will shut the motor off if it senses it getting hot. So it could be bad.
