Question about Boating
first have you done what is necessary for that such as draining the oil (unless it's a two stroke) draining the gas and refiling it with fresh gas and a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze (it sucks up water) ... for the electrical parts ... spray them with wd40... that will force out any moisture at all and oil does not conduct electricity.

Exhaust temp sensor is telling computer to go into safe/limp mode.Check ALL of your engine cooling hoses, from the pump all the way up to the cyliders for debris/blockage.Most blockage happens at the pump or just where the hoses meet at the engine.

Unbolt the electronics box (swing out of the way), take off the box mount plate, and remove the exhaust upper manifold and expansion chamber. This should give you good access to the starter.
