I have a brand new Fuji F850. Can you please tell me how to set the date?

here is the link for the manual to fuji finepix s5100. download it and go to page 72. it will step you thru the sequence. very easy.

take the batteries out and put them back in. the back screen will say setup, push in the menu button and it will display the date, after doing it, click it up once for it to read month day year, it is default for the opposite.
I can't find how to have it display that in the photos though and I have the manual.

Hello. To set up your date & time on a Fujifilm S2950, you have to follow these steps:

First of all, press the selector left or right to highlight the year, month, day, hour, or minute and press up or down to change. To change the order in which the year, month, and day are displayed, highlight
the date format and press the selector up or down.

Press MENU/OK. A battery type message will be displayed. If the type is different from the type inserted in the camera, use the setup menu (BATTERY TYPE) option to specify the correct type.
