I am 77 years old, hard of hearing, but otherwise in reasonably good health. In setting my 4202 pedometer I was confused about setting a goal.

I would like to set a goal of 10 kms. for each week. Can I do this? Or do I need to make a new goal for every day? Eg. My step is 28.6, or 1377 steps/km. Should I set my goal for 2754 steps 2 kms., and reset daily; or can I set it for 13,770 steps 20 kms my goal for each week, and reset each Monday morning? No apps please. Because of my hearing I really need a recommendation in writing please.

I am a 77 year old Canadian, hard of hearing so am handicapped to use a phone. In setting my 4202 pedometer I was confused about setting a goal.

Sir,

if you have a teenage neighbor, ask them to help you by reading the instructions book, figure out how to set it as you want it, and then write down instructions you can follow for you.
teens are usually very quick to figure out things like that.

Blood pressure 104/77 == 76 years old on medication.

it is not low , something which should make you worried , but as 76 years old , take much much care of yourself and dont worry 120/80 is ideal BP of a healthy young man .
You are perfectly fine.!!

Good afternoon, My 4202 pedometer does not show accurate number of steps even when I actually count the step while walking. Some day it's fine, but most days it's way lower that what it should show.

well, all your steps are not measured exactly the same... from hour to hour.. they are different. and hen even more from days to day they are different. your mood is different thus having an effect on your strides. so unfortunately any step machine can only guesstimate your steps. I suggest reviewing the setup you used to measure each step.. and go thru that again... you might need to re-enter the your step size. I really hope that helps.

Pedometer # 4202

The Sportline 4202 has three buttons, Top MODE, Right S/R (RESUME/STOP), Left SET.

MODE - press once to alternate between Steps (how many steps you taken) and Miles (how many miles walked).

S/R - Clears the count to 0 for any mode by pressing one second. To change from Kilometers to Miles or Back Press S/R for 6 seconds.

R/S press one sec and then press SET one second to set "goals" for both steps and miles.

To change length of stride: press the buttons one at a time in the following order- R/S-SET-MODE.

It may take several attempt to get into the set stride and it may take you into other menus such as Goals in the process, just keep going in circles until you get to stride and change length with R/S and set with SET.
