SOURCE: low oil warning light staying on oil level ok

would be best to have oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge to be sure you have oil pressure.
hopefully you just have a bad oil pressure switch this is located on oil filter adapter rt above filter

SOURCE: vw polo 1.4 1999 oil light comes on at 3000 revs

Had exactly the same problem, completely baffled us until we discovered that the it was the oil pressure switch. We had already replaced it with a new one and then that didnt fix it so we fitted a new oil pump, but as soon as it was revved over 3000 revs the oil light came on. It turns out that there is actually a choice of 2 oil pressure switches for this car (1999 1.4 polo) one works only low pressure (black cap) and is the wrong one, the other works on a higher racio (green cap) its the high pressure one you need. If the oil light was on at tick over or below 3000 revs then its the lower oil pressure switch needed, above 3000 its the higher one. The parts people insisted there was only one, but there is definately a choice of 2 and it fixed ours instantly.
If it was an older model they actually have 2 switches on the car itself and one is a high pressure and one is a low pressure (just incase anyone needed to know)

SOURCE: VW passat coolant warning light on

There's a level sensor plugged into the bottom of the coolant reservoir. Unplug it and clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. If that doesn't do the trick, replace the sensor.

SOURCE: 2006 Subaru Outback: all of a sudden, the cruis

Hello, whenever the check engine light comes on the cruse light will flash as well, that is normal. The check engine light will not come on if fluid levels are low or if the temp is getting to high, I am pleased to know that you checked all of the fluids, most wouldn't have even the slightest thought to even try checking them. The On Board Diagnostics or OBD-2 for short only sets a check engine light when the ECM or Electronic Control Module reads a sensor value either too high or too low, but it has to read that same fault 3 consecutive times in a row to turn on the check engine light (w/ flashing cruise). Otherwise your check engine light would be going on and off all the time. I would go to your local parts store and have them check the codes for free because a dealer will have to charge you labor for them to check due to the knowledge needed to use the highly sophisticated scan tool they use. That way you can go either to an independent shop or a dealer with what the other scanner says is wrong which cuts down on the cost of repairs. They will probably ask you if you fueled up just before the engine light came on, in which that would be code P0440:EVAP leak(very small leak), that means the fuel tank sensor doesn't like how you put the fuel cap on. Subaru recommends AT LEAST 3 clicks when tightening your fuel cap. But until that code is checked you won't know whats wrong, if nothing went boom or bang you'll probably be ok. If it does end up being a fuel cap leak, then just loosen the cap put it back on and just make 1 full revolution, and just keep driving it. The light will go off within 3 full warm up cool down cycles or (drive cycles). I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...

Can anybody help with a Toyota Hiace starting problem?

Have you checked the fuel lines for dents or kinks? When it is not starting check fuel pressure. If OK then check ignition spark. If both ok then check fuel flow at injectors.

If all OK try pouring a spoonful of oil in each cylinder, install the spark plugs and try to start. If it starts OK and after a while it runs rough again, do a compression test on each cylinder.

I have kipor 6700 diesel generator when I'm trying to turn it on the starting motor works but engine doesn't start even though I tried for 8 times the battery is ok and oil level is ok 2- there is oil in...

no -it is not normal. check that it is oil as I suspect that it is diesel fuel and the reason that you can't start it is because the fuel is leaking out and letting air into the system. If so you will have to bleed the system before the engine will start.

P0440 and P0302 scan code - changed plugs and wires. Changed emission purge valve. All vacuum lines appear to be OK. Fuel lines are not leaking. Good spark to cyclinder two when using spark tester. ...

Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected po302 . Evaporative Emission Control System po440 The last digit on a misfire code indicates the cylinder number. A code P0302, for example, would tell you cylinder #2 is misfiring. Chances are the misfire is due to a weak ignition coil. Did you change the pcv valve? Remember to put the o-ring on the new one or this problem will happen.

Test at the spark plug if you are getting current there with a cheap spark plug tester, if not, it could be the spark box. ( it used to be an ignition coil on older cars ) double check the computer for codes which may lead to a cam sensor not giving the PCM information.

Engine will not start

No.Check the condition of the spark plugs. If they are oily,or have any type of build up on them then yes junk the car.The plugs should be light brownish indicating normal wear.If OK and affordable change plugs, wires, cap and rotor and oil and filter. If car still doesnt start check fuel pressure and spark. If OK then there may be a deeper problem.Consider junking it

A Warning light on my kia rio appears occasionally.Shaped like an engine block and says CHECK.I don,t have a manual & I live in Spain..Thanks, Tom Rooney

Tom - that is your check engine light. Seems odd that is is intermittent when coming on. Usually they stay continually lit until checked/problem repaired and the code removed from your computer by a qualified service technician. Regardless, you need to get your car in for service.
