Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3 washer cycles/controls out of whack since replaced main control board -- is there a compatibility problem with our 11 year old washer?
Bought washer in 2007, Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3. Stopped working, got error code suggesting problem with main control board, so replaced it with new, part# 137006000. Didn't fix problem, got new error code suggesting problem with speed control board. Replaced that with new, part# 134743500. Now washer works at least, all the cycles we've tried do something plausible, but the controls and cycles are out of whack. For example, when I set the dial to normal, it used to show 52 minutes in the display, now it shows 28 minutes. When I set the dial to heavy, it used to show 56 minutes in the display, now it shows 52 minutes. Did they rearrange the dial since 2007? If so, is there a key we can use to translate new dial labels to old dial labels? It seemed like there was only one way to assemble the knob and dial, so I don't think I put it together with the dial in the wrong position. Or is this a common failure indicating that the new main control board is defective? Easy to imagine a defective control board causing one or more cycles or controls not to work; hard to imagine a defect that results in the case we have, i.e. everything working, but cycles scrambled. Our laundry room is tiny and we've got the dryer stacked on top of the washer, so it's a major hassle to get at the main control board major hassle like can't get into the refrigerator or use the back door of the house while the laundry machines are un-stacked. Otherwise I would swap the old one back in and see what happened. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome! Thank you.

Hello Scott, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
Based on the symptoms you are describing and if you are receiving an error code E41, your loading door may be ajar. Double-check to ensure that it is closed. If it is secure, reset the power again to your appliance for about ten minutes. If the error persists, it could either be the door switch assembly or the main control board in your appliance. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.
You are experiencing a vent issue - While in wash cycle, Main Control Board does not receive signal from vent assembly that vent plunger is closed. Plunger status is sensed with optical sensor in vent assembly. Check wiring between vent assembly and Main Control Board. If wiring correct, replace vent assembly. If error still exist, replace Main Control Board.
You are experiencing a pump issue. Typically a professional is needed to :
1. Check the drain hose for restrictions. Restriction, correctproblem. No restriction, go to step (2).2. Start the washer and checkfor 120VAC at the drain pump.Zero, replace the Main Control Board. 120VAC, remove the pump and checkit for blockage. If blocked, remove the restriction, if not, replace the pump.
The problem is a faulty Door Latch Assembly. The same thing happened to my Frigidaire front load washer. The part is easy to install, costs about 60 dollars and can be picked up at most appliance repair stores . To access the switch just remove the wire around the front drum gasket, peel back the rubber gasket beside the switch assembly then remove the two screws holding it in place.
remove the three wire connector blocks and swap in the new switch. My washer was giving me error code 41 witch is a faulty control board. But the problem was in fact only the switch...
Cycle ended prior to spin segment. Checked error code history to find E47 fault. Troubleshot per manual. Found that the "PTC one-spot check" read ~1582ohms. Although the book indicates that this is sufficient and recommends (rather tells) you to replace the control board we were still skeptical seeing as this is a ONE POINT check on a device that is non-linear. We went with the lesser of two evils. Purchased and replaced a new door lock. Works again! Phew, that could have been costly.
IF there is an E attached to the 45, it is your control board and the control board would need to be replaced. This is per the "Washer Tech Data Sheet"Hope that helps...
You need to replace the Motor controller speed asm part number 134149220 they are about 165.00. very easy part to replace you have to remove the back panel and the control board is on the bottom left side two scews and two plugs.
