Is Voltaren dangerous for pets - Pets - Others

  • Karakurt Pictures

Great question and it seems to me that this is really dangerous. By the way, I recently had a very interesting situation with Charlie. Yes, I called my bearded dragon Charlie. The fact is that I was in a hurry for an interview and I forgot to close the door of the aquarium. During my absence, Charlie managed to get out and he traveled around the house and as a result he ended up at the pool and hid in the bushes. When I came home I was terrified because I could not find him anywhere. I began to search the Internet for how to lure a bearded dragon, but nothing helped. I accidentally read at officiallypets.com that they like to sit in the grass during the heat, and then I went to the bushes near the pool and I found there my Charlie:) Subsequently, on this site I found a lot of very interesting information and advices!

Does flexagenix really work for knee pain?

try Glucosamine HCL 2,000 mg twice a day I do morning and night, then I rub the painful area with voltaren extra strength emulgel 2 times a day. the Glucosamine is to help your body strengthen the joint area, the voltaren takes the inflamation out of the tissue, that is what causes the pain and if it is still hurting I put Myoflex extra strength on about 15 mins later just rub in where there is pain. This is like rubbing asprin into a toothache it takes the pain away in a specific area, not all over your body. Remember these are medications so use a small amount and wash your hands after application because it will absorb through the skin there as well and its like taking a double dose of meds, never a good idea! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO ALLERGIES TO THE MEDICATIONS LISTED AND MYOFLEX HAS ASPRIN IN IT SO IF YOU ARE ON A BLOOD THINNER, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU TRY ANY NEW PRODUCT!!!
I know you can get glucosamine in Canda and US I get mine at target up &up brand the voltaren is available in both areas not sure if Myoflex is in the states, its made by Bayer so if you can't find it contact bayer and ask where you can get it.depending on if it is an injury to the knee you can also add ice to the mix, 20 mins at a time and elevation, prop up on pillows running down the leg extra one under knee and don't forget to support the foot as well.
hope it helps

Sick dog

How to take Dogs temperature?
Required Things:

• Digital pet thermometer

• Lubrication, such as petroleum jelly or mineral oil

• Soap and water

• Rubbing alcohol

For a breeder it is mandatory to know why their pet not feeling well? Why he/she has lack of appetite, restless, and not involved in daily activities. These are signs and symptoms suggested that their pet is ill. Fever can be in these illnesses. It requires special attention. A dog is not express like human when it gets fever, and has not signs (e.g. warm skin, and trembling). For these reasons it is important to know and learn how to take temperatures reading of fever as a vet can do it. It can be done very impressively to follow the following steps:

First of all you should have a Digital pet thermometer; it can be bought by local market.

For your help call somebody who hold the dog when you take the readings.

Do clean your Digital pet thermometer with prescribed rubbing alcohol.

Before taking a temperature apply lubricant (i.e. petroleum jelly or mineral oil).

Pick dog\'s tail upward and insert thermometer gently into your dog\'s rectum. Put it into half of the length of the thermometer.

Grasp the thermometer in that position until it beeps, or for 1 to 2 minutes.

Pull it out and look at it to see what your dog\'s temperature is.

The normal body temperature should between 100.5 to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit

Clean the thermometer thoroughly with semi-hot water and prescribed soap

Ask your vet if temperature is low or high with sign of sickness.

During the learning process (dog\'s temperature measurement process), be relaxed and don\'t show nervousness to your canine. This will add to the pet\'s irritation.

Be very conscious during all the process of taking temperature, don\'t insert thermometer into deep of dog\'s rectum, it can be a cause of pain.

Tie a cord around the other end of the thermometer so that if it slips or accidentally go into your dog\'s rectum too deeply, you will be able to easily pull it back.

Remember a digital pet thermometer is best than an oral human thermometer to measure dog\'s temperature. Conventional sort (contains mercury) can be very dangerous if accidentally broken.

Always prefer rectal digital thermometer to take a temperature reading of pet.

Ear thermometer is also available in market but it is not as accurate as rectal thermometer is.

Never strive to take your canine\'s temperature if he/she is very irritated or very hyper. If you do so, it could be dangerous for pet. Be patience until dog calms down when he/she calm down then attempt to insert the thermometer.

Without lubrication insertion may be dangerous action it can cause the pain.

Self medication is prohibited if the temperature of pet is very low/high.

Do not get anger with your canine if he/she will not get calm enough to permit you to insert the thermometer. Take him/her to your vet if you are not capable to take your dog\'s temperature.
